I pulled my kids from their school today after a run in with the very nasty principal. It seems she thinks she is God, I disagreed.
Long story short my kids will not be going back to that school. So what do you do if you are steaming mad at everyone in power and society in general? Well, you don't do some of the things that were suggested to me by a dear brother I will not mention...(Brian) But a strongly worded letter always makes the little guy feel vindicated, right?
Okay, we all know that these letters we write fighting "The Man" most likely end up in the garbage. Maybe one out of 3000 ever accomplishes anything. But, after shooting mine off to everyone I could think of, and their dog, I feel a bit better.
A bath, glass of wine, and good book should have my spirits renewed by morning.

Hey now, I never suggested doing anythign unethical, but when the establishment fails the little guy, there are a number of things one can do to act as karma's right arm!

I found several other parents having the same problem I knew from band (and knew how smart and talented these students were) and first went to the principal with a promise to the Board of Education next. That teacher was not back the next year.
